Ikea Fredde desk review

I bought my Fredde desk for £150 back in December 2017. Assembly is simple, and pretty pain free. And although it says you need 2 people, you can do it by yourself .
The desk is a nice height, and my 2 24inch monitors sit on the shelf quite nicely side by side.
The under desk shelves are not big enough for my computer case. So I have the sub for my speakers sat on one, and my 10 gang power tower sat on the other.
The cup holders are too small for my mugs, so when I bought my desk, I also bought the 3 port usb charger and the qi charger to replace the front cup holders. Both of these items are no longer available now.
As for the side shelves that hang on the sides, I have never used them. For no other reason than I do not have a use for them.
The metal panels on the sides fit ok the first time you set the desk up. However, my desk has been broken down 3 times since buying it. twice for moving house, and once to move room. So the metal panels are quite an awkward fit now.
Would I recommend the desk?
Yes.
So much so, that my wife recently bought the same desk for her computer in our joint office.

The one on the right is my desk (the 3 years old one) and my wife is on the left with the new desk.
Assembly hasn't changed. And we have not used the wing shelves on the new one, either.
However, the price has gone up since we last bought it. The second one costing £175. However, we still think this is a good price.

Get one, you won't be disappointed.
